Right after our Urban Outsiders episode premiered, Steve and I jetted off to Las Vegas for the opening of Toni Braxton's show at the lovely Flamingo Resort and Hotel. We stayed at Caesars Palace with our friend Cary Berman, who is an agent at the William Morris Agency. I don't say this to drop names-- after all, Cary has a huge client list that I refuse to mention here because I'm classy like that. I only say this to warn any compulsive liars who may meet Steve and I that if you claim to work in Hollywood (and be repped by WMA) that we can and will find out the truth very easily. Okay, moving on...Toni's show was stunning, with the six-time Grammy winner going through her career of hits and selling it like the rent was due. Steve and I sat right at the front of the stage drinking Tonitinis (luscious) and chatting it up with some other agents, lawyers, writers, etc. Which reminds me...
So you know that part of Madonna's docu Truth or Dare where she says she hates performing for the industry (and I believe she specifically mentions William Morris agents)? Well, she's right. Because Toni comes out in a sassy little dress with hot muscle studs and sexy women dancers, they do it up big... and our table is deader than my dad.
Steve and I? Screaming like two girls at prom. Agents, lawyers, etc? Cricket, cricket, cricket... To make it worse, one of the dudes next to me was supposed to be a huge fan-- and he was-- but then mocked us later for being so loud. Self-loathing faggot, that's all I've got to say. We didn't party with him as a result. His boyfriend was lovely, though. I'd invite him out again.

The party was held at Pure in Caesar's Palace. And let me just say that I love when you order a mandarin and cranberry cocktail-- our current drink of choice-- and they say, "Oh, we only have Grey Goose Orange." Okay, I'll take it. Anyway, here are some of the people who were there, including this guy on the left who we thought was the fired host from What Not To Wear on TLC. It wasn't. And then there was sassy mamma on the right who not only knew how to dance but she worked it hard! Loved her.So here are other very important people at the event, starting with...
Nicole, who is pictured here with Steve and I. Recognize her? Well, she's an agent at WMA now but back in the day she was the voice of Velma from Scooby Doo. She was seriously funny, and I love that she has a hipped up Velma haircut.
Here are some of the dancers from the show, like sexy girl who looked like our friend Lisa's daughter. We kept screaming, "Put some clothes on! Does your mother know where you are?!" Fortunately, she didn't hear us.
Flanked by dancers on the left and right are Andrew (in black), Toni's director, Cary peaking out in the middle, and Steve.
Here's Andrew again, who we met through Cary on the right. Andrew is wonderful and he really made this show rock.
Here is Aaron, Toni's manager, with me, Steve, and Cary. We met Aaron and Andrew around the same time and they're super great guys. After a couple drinks, yummy appetizers and happy photos with people around us, Toni arrived. Magic Johnson was one of the first people to get in for a picture with her. And when you're facing a big guy like him, you don't argue.
Seriously, this dude was huge! And then Toni came in, made eye contact, and we asked if we could take a picture. This is big for us since we normally forget, don't have the camera, or get shy. She graciously said yes, we handed it to some random homo...
And we come out with crazy gay eyes while she looks slightly sensual and yet annoyed at the same time. Trust me, there was no attitude, it was just a fast pic and none of us were ready. Because as you all know, Steve and I never have crazy gay eyes.
