Steve called me yesterday morning from Hong Kong. It was 10pm at night his time and he'd just arrives at the hotel, the Kowloon Shangri-La.Here's the rundown of his journey...
Steve was in regular business class on Cathay Pacific, not the fancy upstairs like he'd hoped, but at least he got to watch a lot of movies.
Especially because they spent three hours sitting on the runway at LAX. That was when he watched Mission Impossible III and said it was pretty good.
He watched a total of five movies, but by the time we spoke he could only remember seeing MI-III, Akeelah and the Bee (which he liked), Friends with Money (which he hated), and Blue Crush (always good for a mindless viewing).
Another important tidbit, Steve told me he should have gotten the pasta instead of the steak for his meal.
Meanwhile, I hung out with friends at Sunset Junction, this street fair close to our house. It was fine, but I got lonely and bored and came home. Crashed out early and then woke at 1:00 am when Steve's brother showed up (he's been staying at our place part of the week until he completely moves to LA in September). Now I'm depressed from bad sleep. Yuck.
