We're On HGTV Tomorrow! (and other celeb news)

Our episode of HGTV's Urban Outsiders is definitely on tomorrow night! Got an e-mail this morning from the UK producers who are currently gearing up for six more episodes in New York. So barring another war with a foreign country-- and you really can never tell these days-- we should be on.
MARVEL at what our yard looked like before host, the adorable Matt James, arrived!

GASP at Steve and I digging out plants and then finding bugs!

WORRY when our Matt James ends up in the hospital!

BE AMAZED at the reveal... And then let us know if we're amusing or not.

Now originally I planned on running commentary right away, but I didn't realize Steve and I would be gone. Where can we be going you might ask? Las Vegas, baby! And why?... TONI BRAXTON!

(cricket... cricket... cricket...)

Okay, here's the deal. One of our friends reps her, another friend is directing the show, and so Steve and I said we'd love to come to the opening-- God knows we've danced to many of her songs in the past. It's going to be super fun, hopefully we can have a picture taken with her, and since Steve and I moved into the house we haven't really had a vacation. This is only two days, it's simple and easy, and it should be hoot. Of course, I'll bring news from Sin City when I get back. (Or, if I have my act together, I might even post some stuff from Vegas-- we'll see if Steve allows it.)

In the meantime, if you want to see what the public thinks of Urban Outsiders, our new friend Steve Albright informed me that HGTV started a new message board for the show. If it's anything like the TVLand special I did last year, I'm sure there will be many posts about how Steve, myself, and our five year relationship are proving why faggots shouldn't marry and destroying the fabric of America. Good times.

I can't wait!

That's awesome that you'll be at the Toni Braxton opening! Have a total blast and tell her I said "Hello." "Breathe Again" is one of my all time favorite songs. *sigh*

Ha ha ha.

Peace!

I hope it really airs this time AND that you did yard work in a tank top. Have fun in Vegas and don't forget your fanny pack. :)

Okay, everyone, the "Amy" listed above is the fabulous Amy Witry whom I have known for years and who supplies many a funny story for me on Mondo-Ricko. She has FINALLY started her own blog: To Live And Love in LA!

Though I fear she will end up using much of her amazing humor in her own space and not hand it to me any longer, I still think you should put her on your favorite list because she is amazing!

Rick--
Long time listener, first time caller here......
I've been following your blog secretly now for a bit, and was very excited to see you on TV tonite! You look wonderful and Steve seems so great (no, I still haven't actually met him). Anyway, loved your appearance and your yard looks great....almost as good as those martinis you were serving up?

"I love your balls"--really?

Love YOU lots though,
Jeni Camp Orr

That was a neat episode. I had never seen Urban Outsiders or City Gardeners before. But the yard turned out well. Loved the trees and plants.

Aren't those new walls oppressively high, though?
