Steve Loves His Fairies (Disney Fairies, that is)

Well, it's that time again when I post more of Steve's current work for Disney. Right now, it's crazy for Disney's Fairies, and Tinkerbell in particular.

This series is unofficially called the Tinkerbell Tulip collection, and if you haven't been able to find all of these items in the store there's a reason: they're selling out like crazy! Steve's stuff is flying off the shelves so fast that the stores haven't been able to display everything at once, and thus fans have been unable to see how the entire line fits together.

Tragic, I know.

So for all those Disney and Tink fans out there, here's what's available...

Above, we have the small snowglobe with Tinkerbell hugging some tulips, Tinkerbell looking at a butterfly in a globe, and a Tinkerbell frame.

Going along with those is this Tinkerbell jewelry box with mirror.

There is also this adorable pillow, and even though Steve normally works on sculpted items, the image comes from one of his drawings and matches the rest of the set.

Some more beautiful items include the plate set to the left. In this group you will see the wonderfully detailed vase, giant serving platter, and a tea cup with a saucer in the shape of a leaf.

On the right side you'll see a Tinkerbell book mark, and then three Tinkerbell magnets. They all match the collection.

Finally, we have the very glamorous Tinkerbell desk lamp with glass tulip shades.
Every time I walk past I imagine her saying, "Hey girls... FABulous!" like Jade from America's Next Top Model.

The one thing we're missing is the Tinkerbell "big fig", which stands 16 inches tall and looks like she's walking in a garden. This one practically sold out instantly at stores and we're still trying to find one to buy for ourselves. Once we get it, I'll post it here.

Oh, but I have to say I went by his office last week and saw some more Tinkerbell and other Disney stuff coming out soon. You will not BELIEVE how cool it all is (especially the Nightmare Before Christmas items). I can't post pics yet, but when I can I will.

TOO CUTE!! The teacup with the leaf plate? Brilliant!

Though the desk lamp shades kinda scare me.

Are you guys building a shrine for all that disney stuff? I mean, I remember your WW corner in apartments past, but where on earth does all this fit in your cupcake house?

No Disney (or Wonder Woman) shrine at the house. We moved past that phase once we bought the place so we now have rotating exhibits.

Animator Mickey just got replaced by Lady and the Tramp and all that Tinkerbell stuff will either go in storage or as gifts.

Steve is hugely popular with my neices, FYI.

My God, Steve is probably a god to your nieces! How awesome. He's quite the artist. So you have rotating exhibits in your new place? Is there a schedule of these? How much is admission to the exhibits? I'm asking to I can work it into my budget for my trip out west this summer. Gee, I hope I like the exhibit on display when I'm out there. I hope it has Ariel in it. :-) Seriously, his work is incredible!

Tell Steve to check out the Faerie of The Legend Of Zelda. She looks quite similar ;)

I want to buy the lamp!!!! Tulips are my FAVORITE flowers and I collect fairies. How can I get one?

Good luck with that one. Steve and I hit The Disney Store in Glendale over the weekend and the ENTIRE collection was gone-- everything. Your best bet would be to call the stores in your city and see if they have any left. I suspect they're sending the remaining stock to only limited stores because they're now full of Easter merchandise.
