The word of the week is: Michael Jacksoned-your-FarrahDefinition: Verb. The act of one-upping someone else so that your news or event is bigger than theirs.
In a scene:
Rick has put in his resignation at work because he's gotten a pretty cool new editorial job for a company that owns websites, magazines, and a TV/film company. But the only people who know this are the two HR employees-- he's relishing his little secret.
Then, at a company farewell party for a woman who has worked at the company over three years, a cake is brought in. The woman gives her farewell speech (very sweet), the cake is opened and on top it says, "Farewell Natalya & Rick!" Everyone stares at Rick.

RICK: Oh hey! Yeah, well, um, I'm quitting and next Friday is my last day. (to Natalya) Sorry, girl, I didn't mean to Michael Jackson-your-Farrah.

Congrats!!!
I think you deserve your own sheet cake to tear up! Congrats though of course--on the job and the WOW!
I loved this one!
But yeah, if you're doing the job of 7, or however many they made go away...you need your own cake too.
Big congrats on your new job!!! That's terrific!
