One Year This Weekend

September 20th last year, Steve and I had our (legal) gay wedding. We've been together 8 years, but since homos can't marry in California anymore this year seems even more significant.
So this weekend, even amidst Steve and I being insanely busy at work, we're headed to Palm Springs for a quick holiday. I'm freaking out because we're coming up on a deadline at the magazine but this is both a necessary break and important. Things like this really do need to be celebrated.
