Last night Steve and I went to the Kylie Minogue concert at the Hollywood Bowl (or as we like to call it, Gay Pride Hollywood Bowl).
I don't think I've ever had as much fun in my entire life. Seriously. I know it's kind of "apples and oranges" when comparing this to the other concerts we've gone to-- like seeing Fleetwood Mac or Annie Lennox-- but I have never cheered and danced and sung along to the music like Steve and I did last night.
Oh, and we got into the official after party.
This morning, as I dragged my exhausted butt into work, I started downloading photos. There are 241 on the camera. I'm sure not all are amazing, but still... that's a LOT! In fact, it's still downloading as I type. I'm going to check my work email. I'll be back.

Okay, here they are. The first pic up there is from our picnic before we went to the show. This small pic is to show you how close we were to the stage. It's small because it's blurry. That's the problem you face when you debate whether or not to use flash photography.
So to give you some better perspective, I included a photo of the area behind us before the show started. (Don't worry, it filled up.)

Kylie descended onto the stage atop a floating skull. She was, of course, the center of the universe.

She had hunky robotic dancers.

The pic below isn't the best, but we met the dancer later on so I wanted to show him in action.

Did anyone else notice Kylie was in a Kira from
Xanadu pant suit?

So in the grand tradition of Steve's and my random life, we met a dancer on Saturday night through mutual friends. When we told him how excited we were to see Kylie he asked if we wanted to go to the after party. Um... yeah. So here we are at Boulevard 3 where it was held.

Random crowd shot.

Random stilt walker.

We met a group of fun straight people and ended up partying with them for a while.

As we were about to leave, Kylie walked in and right past us. Seriously. Petite, beautiful Miss Minogue was about 6 feet from us (surrounded by two giant security guards who could kill).
Unfortunately, by the time I realized what was happening and thought about the fact that I had a camera, she had walked past and up into the VIP area.
So we stayed for another hour trying to see her again but it didn't work out. However, Steve and I did meet one of the hunky dancers. Photo is not great, but at least we met one of the celebs.
